Account and data-deletion instructions

How a Guardian, Driver, or school operator can request deletion of a SchoolBus account and the personal data linked to it.

Delete your account in the app

  1. In SchoolBus Family, open Settings → Delete account. In SchoolBus Driver, tap the account (person) icon at the top of the screen, then Delete account.
  2. Confirm with Request deletion. SchoolBus records the request and shows the date by which it will be completed. You can keep using the app until then.
  3. Within 30 days, SchoolBus deletes or anonymizes the account and the personal data linked to it, and tells the school. To use SchoolBus again later, the school will need to add you again.
  4. Records covered by an active, narrowly scoped hold or a legal obligation may be kept only for that purpose and period. Encrypted backups expire within 35 days, and security audit records follow the retention statement.

If you cannot sign in

  1. Email [email protected] or contact the participating school through its verified administrative channel. Identify the SchoolBus account and school relationship involved. School staff who use the web console can request deletion the same way.
  2. The school verifies identity and, for child records, the Guardian relationship. Do not send passwords, password-reset codes, or precise pickup details in an unverified message.
  3. The school revokes active memberships, sessions, controlling Driver installations, and push installations as applicable, then records the request for correction, export, deletion, or anonymization.
  4. Eligible operational records are removed or anonymized according to the retention schedule. A narrowly scoped active hold or reviewed legal obligation may delay part of a request. Encrypted backups expire within 35 days.

Deletion contact

If you cannot use the in-app request, send requests to [email protected]. Do not include a password, login code, or a child’s precise pickup location in the first message. Identity and relationship verification may be required before account data is disclosed or deleted.

SchoolBus will acknowledge the request, explain any verification needed, and state the expected completion time. Eligible requests are completed without unreasonable delay. Records covered by an active, narrowly scoped hold or a legal obligation may be retained only for the applicable purpose and period. Effective date: 1 October 2026.
